Timeline

  • Initial review: 3–7 business days
  • Reconciliation: 10–14 days
  • Final correction: 30 days

Escalation path

  • Request a correct statement and ask for a written explanation
  • Send the discrepancy to the grievance officer if no resolution in 7 days
  • Escalate to the nodal officer after 10 days
  • File with the ombudsman if the lender fails to justify or correct the outstanding amount
