Timeline

  • Acknowledgement: 1–3 days
  • Reconciliation: 7–14 days
  • Correction in bureau report: 30–45 days

Escalation path

  • Get a written confirmation from the lender acknowledging on-time payment
  • Ask the lender to resend corrected data to the bureau
  • Lodge a dispute with the bureau if the report is unchanged after 15 days
  • File with the ombudsman if the bureau does not correct the DPD after 45 days
