Required documents
- • Credit report showing the fraudulent loan
- • PAN card, Aadhaar, and identity proofs
- • FIR or police complaint copy
- • Correspondence with lender and credit bureau
- • Any suspicious application details received

Timeline
- • FIR registration: 1 day
- • Bureau fraud acknowledgement: 1–3 days
- • Investigation: 15–45 days
- • Deletion/correction: 30–60 days
Escalation path
- • File an FIR immediately and get a copy
- • Send the FIR to the credit bureau and lender to start fraud investigation
- • Follow up with the bureau after 14 days if no response
- • Take the matter to the ombudsman if the lender or bureau is unresponsive
